I was born in Southern New Jersey, in a town in transition from rural to suburban which sits upon the edge of the Pine Barrens. I spent most of my childhood outside in the forest where I would push down dead trees and bury myself in leaves. After graduating high school, I decided a change of scenery was in order and I moved to New York City. I lived there for four years and spent hundreds of hours walking the streets as I studied photography and fine art printing.
Throughout my career, I have photographed completed architecture as well as documented active construction, portraiture, product photography, and live events ranging from corporate to entertainment. I occasionally work as an assistant building lighting setups for fashion and editorial photographers. I make sure the problems get solved so the shoots go smoothly.
I have always been interested in telling stories whether it’s the story of a place, a person or simply describing a moment. Photography has been the best method for me to seek out and tell the stories of the world around me.
In 2013 I relocated back to New Jersey where I enjoy a slower-paced lifestyle, filling my days with writing, walking with my dog Shea, and focusing–forgive the photography pun–on the fine art side of photography. I run a small-scale lab where I offer scanning, digital capture, and fine art printing services. In addition to photography I also dabble in various crafts (e.g. kintsugi, woodworking, origami, bookbinding, box making, etc…).
With regards to photography, I’m available to work wherever in the world the story takes me.
